The Consortium’s mission is to foster knowledge exchange, resource-sharing, and collective action towards systemic change. LxNY envisions a New York City where Latinx arts and culture are fully funded, deeply valued, and celebrated as an integral part of the city’s diverse and vibrant cultural fabric.

New Yorkers for Culture and Arts
The Timelines methodology was used during the New Yorker for Culture and Arts (NYFCA) Annual Retreat in Governors Island in 2023.
New Yorkers for Culture & Arts (NY4CA) aims to ensure a vibrant future for culture and arts that will benefit all New Yorkers. This coalition of cultural groups of every size is committed to securing sustainable government resources and advancing strong public policy to support cultural organizations as well as artists and the cultural workforce at large.
The dataset generated in the NY4CA retreat was crowd-sourced by retreat participants and is considered permanently open. 80 cultural workers attended the retreat and the timeline counted with additional entries and corrections from more than 1,000 cultural advocates invited to participate through the organization’s newsletter.
